My love of design , especially styling and decorating flows into another creative outlet i.e. styled images, It can be anything from interiors, lifestyle, food , flowers etc. I thoroughly enjoy creating these styled content images especially flatlay images, whilst utilising my combined skill set of photography, styling and attention to detail.
This modern Scandinavian contemporary renovated villa is located in The Springs community in Dubai, UAE. The kitchen, all 3 bathrooms was renovated. New flooring was installed and new furniture and joinery was part of the renovation project. The interior style is uncluttered and simplistic and white walls all around. It is mainly the simplicity, functionality and minimalism of shapes, colours and materials used that creates this soothing aesthetic. The window treatments in the main areas (dining, kitchen, living room and study) were kept minimal as automated white linen roller blinds were incorporated. All aspects of the design were considered, the project was explored thoroughly in 3D from concept to completion. The exterior design was also developed to compliment the interiors in terms of the hard and soft landscape executed for this villa.
Villa Dubai
November 2017 - April 2018
Located in downtown Dubai, this lovely one-bedroom apartment was re-designed to create a modern contemporary space as per the client brief. All key furniture pieces were custom designed i.e. coffee table, TV unit, coffee table, bedroom bedside tables and headboard. Space planning is fundamental in creating perfect flow and beautiful aesthetics within the spaces, and this was achieved by the custom design furniture.The colours/finishes of the joinery and soft furnishing were in selected keeping in mind that the existing wooden floor had to be complimented.
Space planning and furniture designs were created in 3D perspective for client visualization.

This lovely product photoshoot was done in the lovely home of Kath from the beautiful House of Hawkes blog. Mostly all products and accessories featured was from JOBA online lifestyle shop.
Below shows some E-mood board designs we provided to clients across the world, i.e. Macua, Portugal, South Africa , Canada, Abu Dhabi, Oman etc. Clients received a floorplan , mood board options and a sourcing list with wesbite links. The only information required from the client was room measurements and photos/videos of the room. This online design service is an affordable alternative option to a full package service we offer. It allows us to design unique and individual rooms, worldwide. We will do all the leg work of sourcing everything you need to fit your budget and you are left with the fun part of styling and decorating the room at your own space.
In 2016, myself and Emilie from Stella and the Stars worked on styling different areas of a client’s house independently. While the clien (Kristina) liked my softer aesthetic for the bedrooms and the garden spaces, Emilie took a bolder approach downstairs.
My style is modern-contemporary, with a soft touch to it,’ says Karen, a South African expat and the founder of Dubai-based interior design studio Design K. ‘I went to Marina Home and Crate & Barrel for many of the bedroom accessories as they also have a contemporary feel, which is what Kristina likes and what I wanted to create.’ As Kristina’s Crate & Barrel beds and bedding from American brand Restoration Hardware were already in the villa, Karen chose the colour scheme and accessories to complement these items. Valentina’s bedroom needed more attention, and she reworked the entire floorplan, moving the bed and artwork and adding pretty accessories from Zara Home.
